Between 8th and 10th November 2017, Anton Melik Geographical Institute is hosting the 3rd consortium meeting of the applied international project Healthy Environment Promotion aNd Ecosystem Services Support for ACTIVE CITIES development (HEPNESS).
The focus of the meeting will be on sharing the ideas about the pilot actions and their further development. A walk through Ljubljana parks and urban forests will also be organized to share the city’s good practice on the management of green infrastructure and outdoor recreational facilities. HEPNESS project establishes a new form of transnational cooperation where cities (Vicenza, Italy; Bonn, Germany; Craigavon, UK), research institutes (ZRC SAZU; University of Venice) and sport organizations (FOOTURA, Bulgaria; USMA, Italy) collaborate to promote active lifestyle and develop healthy and sports cities by enhancing cultural and natural assests and ecosystems services.
The project is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Commission.
