Dr Tjaša Tolar

PROJEKT ARRS J7-1817: 5000 YEARS OF GRAZING AND MINING ACTIVITIES IN THE JULIAN ALPS (SLOVENIA) (2019-2022)

is analysing plant macrofossils from archaeological sites and sedimentary cores. Tjaša has 13 years of experience studying the introduction and use of cultivated plants in the Neolithic period, the Holocene environment and recovery techniques for waterlogged archaeological sediments. The main topic of her PhD thesis was the analysis of plant macrofossils and economy of Neolithic pile-dwelling study site Stare Gmajne (Ljubljansko barje).
