Venice: Embryo of the new Earth space

Marko Pogačnik and Bojan Brecelj have been exploring a water city of Venice since 1983, each of them in their own way, Bojan as photographer and Marko as a sculptor –working in the field of geomancy and Earth healing. Together they have published several books on Venice projects in different languages, the first one in 1986 – published in USA in 2008 by Lindisfarne under the title “Venice: Discovering a Hidden Pathway”. Bojan and his camera have accompanied Marko Pogačnik on many of his public workshops in this unique water city. Bojan also lived in Venice Lagoon for a year, almost entirely on his wooden sailboat, with the aspiration to bring him closer to its secrets.

 The exhibition and accompanying events are related to their last exploration journey of Venice during 2020, which was published in 2021 in double book (two books in one box) in german language : VENEDIG – EMBRYO DES NEUEN ERDRAUMS and English version: VENICE – EMBRYO OF THE NEW EARTH SPACE  (one book - photography).

Main part of exhibition are 72 framed photos by Bojan Brecelj and original drawings by Marko Pogačnik, blended in rhythmical layout.

Main Event is lecture by Marko Pogačnik, accompanied by photo projection – planned as the opening event

As a creative contribution to Venice, Bojan Brecelj is planning to give there two day photography workshop (advance class).

The purpose of the exhibition is to bring Venice closer as a current space for creative thinking and the development of new forms of global coexistence.
