Initiative to Promote Collaborations Between Researchers from the United Kingdom and EU/Associated Countries Under Horizon Europe Pillar 2

Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness
Opening date: June 18, 2024
Deadline date: March 5, 2025

Description

The British Academy (with support from the Royal Society, Academy of Medical Sciences, and the Royal Academy of Engineering) is offering up to £10,000 to promote collaborations between researchers from the United Kingdom and EU/associated countries under Horizon Europe Pillar 2 (Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness). Project proposals can be from various fields, including engineering, natural sciences, medical sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Projects will be led by a Principal Investigator (PI) from an eligible UK organization, who will be responsible for managing the grant and reporting on the project.

For research institutions in the EU, this initiative offers an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with the UK and collaborate on Horizon Europe projects. The funding supports activities such as partnership building, feasibility studies, and proposal preparation, with a focus on key areas such as health, digitalization, and climate.

Applications will be evaluated in multiple rounds, with deadlines on December 4, 2024, January 15, 2025, February 12, 2025, and March 5, 2025, subject to funding availability. Online webinars will provide additional support to applicants.
