Data Collection and Monitoring of Gender Equality

In accordance with the requirements of the European Commission, we are obligated to collect basic data related to gender equality. We have established mechanisms for data collection, such as tracking young PhD holders, early-career researchers, and more. Here, we present the basic data from the ZRC SAZU Annual Report for 2021.

As part of the preparation of the Gender Equality Plan, we conducted an online survey among ZRC SAZU employees in July 2018. The survey was carried out within the framework of the international project »Pilot Experiences for Improving Gender Equality in Research Organizations - R&I PEERS.« You can read the report here.

Early-career researchers: Statistical insights. As part of the gender equality efforts defined in the Gender Equality Plan, ZRC SAZU has been systematically collecting gender-disaggregated statistical data on the career paths of early-career researchers since 2018. Here, we publish graphs visualizing statistics related to the career trajectories of early-career researchers and postdoctoral researchers.
